A Level Students Delighted with their Success this Year

The David Ross Education Trust is proud to celebrate the hard work and resilience shown by sixth-formers following their excellent A Level and BTEC results.

The year 13s sat their examinations earlier this year, in May and June.

Students across the country have faced some disruption to their education over the past five years and everyone at DRET is delighted that the hard work and dedication of students and staff has been recognised within these results.

Sixth formers also received their confirmed offers for university, apprenticeships or offers of work.

Some of the top student results include:

Luke from Bobby Moore Academy gained one A*, two As and a B. Luke has been a scholar at BMA since Year 7 and has ended this part of his journey with us in impressive style! He will take up a place at either Imperial College London or Durham to study Physics.

Bronwyn from Charnwood College achieved three A*s in Chemistry, Physics and Maths and has secured an apprenticeship in Finance.

Damian Namsons from Malcolm Arnold Academy achieved an incredible 4 A* grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. Damian has been offered a place at Oxford University to study Physics. Damian said he was very grateful for the support provided to him over the years at Malcolm Arnold Academy.

Triplets from Lodge Park Academy - Saule Klimaviciute achieved A* in Biology and Maths and an A and is going off to Warwick University to study Biochemistry. Ruta Klimaviciute achieved A* in Art, B in maths and a Distinction* Distinction* in IT and is going off to University of Sheffield to study Computer Science. Ausrine Klimaviciute achieved A in Maths and Biology and a B in Chemistry and is looking at medicine courses through clearing or will be taking a gap year.

Gracie-Leigh Miller from Havelock Academy achieved a Distinction* in ICT, a B in English, and a Distinction in Performing Arts. These results secured her place at her first-choice destination, University of Salford, to study Theatre and Performance Practice.

Caden from King Edward VI Academy achieved one grade B, one Distinction and one Merit. Caden is going to study at the University Campus of Football Business.

Clara Tomlinson is Skegness Grammar School’s highest performer with A* in Chemistry, A* in Mathematics, A* in Further Mathematics and A* in Physics. She goes on to read Natural Sciences at University of Cambridge.
