David Ross Education Trust celebrates Year 13 results
The David Ross Education Trust is delighted to be celebrating the hard work and dedication of sixth formers following results day on 15 August 2024.
Pupils sat their exams in May and June and have been waiting to see what they have achieved before moving on to the next stage of their lives.
Even with the challenges faced after the pandemic, staff went above and beyond to ensure all students were as prepared as possible.
Here are just some of the many highlights:
Abudullah Arif from Bobby Moore Academy will be going to Queen Mary’s University to study Aerospace Engineering after securing top A Level results. Abdullah moved to London to begin his A Levels at Bobby Moore Academy at the start of September 2022.
Shadi Zorriassatine from Charnwood College came from Iran in July 2022 and joined Charnwood in September 2022, having no GCSEs. Shadi completed her GCSEs alongside studying A levels in Maths, Chemistry, and Biology, gaining an incredible A*, A and B respectively. She now plans to have a gap year and is looking to study dentistry next year.
Gracie Howarth from Havelock Academy achieved a Distinction Star in Performing Arts, along with a B in English and a B in Film Studies to secure her first-choice destination to study Musical Theatre at Wilkes Academy in Staffordshire.
Tamzin Alcock from King Edward VI Academy achieved AAB in Law, History and English Literature and will be studying at Durham University.
Rishi from Lodge Park Academy achieved three Distinctions including Business and will be starting his Finance and investment course at Birmingham City University in September.
Harriet Jakeman from Malcolm Arnold Academy has been offered a place at Oxford University to study Geography after achieving A* in Geography, A in Economics, and A in Psychology.
Aide Turner from Skegness Grammar School achieved an exceptional A*, A*, A* in Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics and goes off to read Physics at Lancaster University.
