Primary
Learning and working within our primary family at the David Ross Education Trust is a transformational experience. Children from aged two to 11 are provided with an exceptional education that prepares them for the next stage of their life, with the confidence to compete at the highest levels, no matter what their background or circumstances.
The adults who work in our schools and in central roles are recruited and retained for their exceptional calibre. We want our people to spend their career with us, not just their next job. Recently, we celebrated our first appointments to the role of principal by two of our own who started their careers with us as newly qualified teachers.
Ours is a profession that too often has led to heavy workloads for colleagues. Working hard is the norm and expected, but spending time on ineffective tasks at the expense of work-life balance is not. This is why our academies have common practices which reduce the burden for staff, creating important time and space to think, to reflect and to further develop practice through our high-quality professional development programmes. It takes talented, dedicated, energetic and resilient professionals to teach pupils well enough for them to achieve their true potential. If that is you then I want to hear from you.
I am proud and truly privileged to be able to lead this exceptional DRET primary family. Our pupils are what matters to us and no pupil should ever be left behind. This is our mission and one we unashamedly take seriously each and every day
